Situated in the heart of Hackney, OKN1 is a unique collaboration between New City College and chefs hailing from Dean Street Townhouse and Holborn Dining Rooms. Providing their trainee chefs and front of house staff with an opportunity to showcase their talents, OKN1 creates a unique environment for eager and talented trainees to work alongside professional chefs in a fully functioning restaurant.
Placing the show kitchen at the heart of the restaurant, the space is open plan and theatrical, giving the trainee chefs centre stage for the diners to watch them in action
To complement the architecture of the restaurant, a warm palette of navy blue and burnt orange was introduced, helping to provide a welcoming and relaxed environment.
